Leadership coaching
Reflect on your own leadership role and gain clarity and stability through psychologically sound support.
Initial situation
Leadership coaching for clarity in challenging management situations
Leadership means taking on responsibility in a field of conflicting expectations. Between strategic goals, team dynamics and organizational framework conditions, situations sometimes arise that tie up more energy than they should.
Perhaps conversations repeatedly fall into similar patterns. Perhaps pressure arises because contradictory requirements have to be met at the same time. Perhaps your own impact on the team is perceived differently than intended.
Leadership coaching offers a structured framework for taking a differentiated look at such constellations. The focus is on the role, context and relationship system. It is not just about behaviour or technique, but about the interplay of leadership role, organizational dynamics and inner attitude.
Challenges
Typical concerns in leadership coaching
As part of a Business Coaching I support managers with issues relating to their role, their impact and cooperation within the organization. This includes, for example
- Clarify your own understanding of leadership and consciously develop your personal leadership style
- Setting priorities and making decisions under uncertainty
- Dealing with conflicting expectations
- Systemically categorize recurring conflict dynamics in the team or use them as part of a Team coaching deepen
- Striking a balance between empathy and clarity in the leadership role
- Reflecting on stressful relationship patterns in day-to-day management or in the context of Conflict coaching clarify
- Define your own limits in the area of conflict between performance and health, for example in the context of Stress, burnout prevention or Resilience
- Understanding recurring inner patterns such as perfectionism, self-doubt or a strong inner critic and dealing with them differently (more on self-management)
- Better regulate emotional reactions in challenging leadership situations, for example when dealing with criticism, conflict or pressure
- Reflect on challenges in dealing with different perception and communication styles in the team and develop a clearer way of dealing with them, if necessary with a focus on neurodivergence
- Perception of an inner emptiness or crisis of meaning and the desire to fundamentally change something (more on the Coaching for reorientation)
Process
How do we set up leadership coaching?
1. Getting to know each other
In a free video call, we check whether the chemistry is right. We talk about your overarching goal for the coaching, my approach and our expectations.
2nd kick-off meeting
We clarify the coaching goals and discuss how we want to organize the collaboration. Once the basics have been clarified, we can start working on the content.
3. decision
After the kick-off meeting, we decide whether and how we will continue working. If necessary, we record the framework conditions in a brief coaching agreement.
4. accompaniment
We work with suitable methods and impulses as part of an individual coaching process that is geared towards your topics and goals.
You can find an overview of the coaching process and the investment on the page Investment.
Coach
Who accompanies the leadership coaching?
As an organizational psychologist, I will support you with a well-founded view and many years of experience in working with managers. My approach is not just to correct the surface, but to work with you to understand the underlying dynamics and patterns. This opens up new scope for action that feels right for you.
I offer you a protected space for reflection. This is a place where the pressure of everyday expectations is paused and you can take a differentiated look at your role and your personal issues.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions about leadership coaching
When is the right time for leadership coaching?
The ideal time is when you realize that your previous solution strategies are reaching their limits. This may be a specific reason, such as a promotion to a new role or an emerging team conflict. Often, however, it is also a vague feeling of constant pressure or the desire for a neutral sparring partner to reflect on your own impact. In short: if you no longer just want to «react», but want to consciously and easily shape your leadership role again.
How does this coaching differ from traditional leadership coaching?
I work with a sound psychological approach and systemic know-how. This means that we not only look at your visible behavior, but also at the internal processes and dynamics of your professional environment. This holistic view makes connections clearer and unconscious patterns recognizable. This creates new scope for action and changes that work sustainably in your specific system.
What happens if I realize after the kick-off meeting that it's not a good fit?
Chemistry and mutual trust are the basis for successful coaching. The kick-off meeting explicitly serves as Test field. If you (or I) realize afterwards that my way of working or the setting is not optimally suited to your concerns, the process ends at this point. In this case, only the individual session will be charged according to the conditions for the kick-off session and there will be no further obligations.
How is confidentiality ensured in coaching?
As an occupational and organizational psychologist, I am subject to the legal duty of confidentiality. A protected space is the prerequisite for you to be able to talk openly about challenges. Everything you bring to the table remains between us and is not communicated to the outside world. If your company finances the coaching, we clearly agree in advance that only organizational details will be communicated.
How is a coaching process structured and how high is the investment?
An overview of the structure of the coaching process and the investment can be found on the page Investment. The duration, meeting frequency and conditions are transparently presented there.
Where do the coaching sessions take place and are they also available online?
Coaching sessions take place in my coaching room in Zurich on Zeltweg 10 or online takes place. Information about the Coaching in Zurich can be found on the main page. I support team development directly in the respective organization.
How much time do I need to invest between sessions?
Progress is made primarily through implementation in day-to-day work, not just in meetings.
Ideally, plan about 30 to 60 minutes for reflection or the implementation of small impulses.
