Develop an understanding of leadership

A shared understanding of leadership within the management team is crucial in order to steer the entire organization clearly and purposefully. In a joint process, we work out how managers understand their role and what expectations are placed on leadership. In doing so, we are guided by shared values that serve as a guideline for decisions and actions in the management team. This alignment ensures clarity, strengthens trust in the team and creates a uniform basis on which managers can act authentically and effectively.

A conscious approach to management change

A change in management often brings uncertainty and change for the team. To make this transition successful, it is important to strengthen communication between the new manager and the team at an early stage. In a structured workshop format, we create an open platform where expectations, working styles and priorities can be clarified together. This avoids potential misunderstandings and creates a basis of trust for future collaboration.

Finding a common direction

Whether through changes in the team, a new collaboration or a new manager - a team that is clearly and uniformly aligned is much more likely to succeed. When all members share a common vision and are moving towards the same goal, synergies are created that optimize collaboration. A clear focus not only creates clarity in priorities, but also promotes motivation and trust within the team. In the workshop, we work together to develop the central standards, goals and working methods that unite the team in order to ensure smooth and efficient processes in the long term.

Addressing communication & conflicts

Tensions or unresolved conflicts in a team often manifest themselves through destructive communication patterns such as aggressive behavior, withdrawal or avoidance. These behaviors not only impair cooperation, but also trust within the team. External coaching creates a neutral framework in which the key issues can be addressed openly and respectfully. Together, we develop solution strategies that enable the team to deal with conflicts constructively and improve communication in the long term.

Strengthen psychological safety

Psychological safety is the key to a successful team. It arises when feedback is shared openly and constructively and conflicts are used as an opportunity for growth. In teams that work together in this way, the members dare to take risks and share honestly - without fear of negative consequences. Through practical exercises and targeted reflection, team members learn how to give open feedback and approach conflicts constructively.

Clarify roles

For a team to function smoothly, it is crucial that all roles are clearly defined and filled in a meaningful way. Changes, role ambiguity, poorly filled roles or role fatigue can significantly impair collaboration. In such cases, it makes sense to rethink and redefine the roles in the team. Together, we analyze which roles in the team need to be clarified and which adjustments are necessary to improve collaboration and make the best possible use of the strengths of the individual team members.

Shaping team culture

Team culture is a key factor in determining the success of a team and the well-being of its members. In a team workshop on team culture, the team reflects on how it experiences the current culture based on specific cultural dimensions. This not only recognizes strengths, but also identifies areas where adjustments are needed to improve collaboration and better achieve team goals. This process creates clarity and ensures a sustainable, positive team dynamic.

Mastering change together

Changes influence the dynamics and cooperation in teams. In a team workshop, the team reflects on how it reacts to upcoming or already completed changes and what challenges arise. This process not only reveals the team's strengths, but also areas in which adjustments are necessary in order to successfully manage change. Together, the team develops strategies to deal with uncertainties and adapt flexibly to new requirements. This approach creates clarity and strengthens the team's resilience for future changes.

Implementation

Working methods in team coaching

Process-oriented

In my understanding, team coaching is primarily about making the team aware of the dynamics that are taking place so that each team member has the opportunity to reflect, change and thus consciously shape the team dynamics differently.

Insightful

When useful, I offer thought-provoking inputs in the form of practical, field-tested models and tools that can support the team’s process. These impulses are designed to complement the process facilitation, not replace it.

Close to everyday life

We deal with the actual problems and dynamics that occur in the team and the organization. In addition, the tools learned can be used directly in day-to-day work.

Process

How do we set up team coaching?

1. Video call

In a free discovery call, we discuss the overall aim of the team coaching, my approach and our expectations.

2. Contracting session

We clarify the situation, define the goal for the team coaching and discuss our collaboration. Based on this, I will make you an offer.

3. Analysis / preparation

Depending on the objective and agreed procedure, we start with interviews or a group assessment. Alternatively, the team fills out a questionnaire or receives a preparatory task.

4. Team coaching

Based on the analysis and information from the team, we develop the first team workshop and then look step by step at what is needed next.
