Team workshop: Team resilience

For teams who want to strengthen their resilience and team dynamics through emotional intelligence.

Team potential

Promoting team resilience

Everyday life for many teams is characterized by pressure, deadlines and constantly changing requirements. These challenges can lead to stress and affect the well-being and performance of the team. The good news is that resilience, the ability to successfully overcome difficult situations and emerge stronger from them, can be specifically promoted.

The 3.5-hour team workshop offers your team the opportunity to strengthen individual emotional intelligence and team resilience. Through proven methods and Systemic team development approaches participants develop strategies to become more relaxed and optimize collaboration.

What you and your team can expect from the team resilience workshop

  1. Introduction to team resilience and emotional intelligence

At the beginning of the workshop, participants are given a brief introduction to the basic concepts of resilience and emotional intelligence. The focus will be on emotional intelligence because it promotes the perception and regulation of emotions in the team. These skills are the basis for successful collaboration and stress-free team dynamics.

  1. Personal stress analysis and team reflection

In an initial reflection exercise, participants analyze their personal stress triggers. With the help of a simple method, they learn to understand stressful situations, their thoughts and the resulting emotional and physical reactions. This self-awareness is crucial for dealing more consciously with stressful moments. In small groups, the participants discuss their findings and identify "stress traps" that can be avoided in the team.

  1. Emotion regulation as the key to resilience

Emotional intelligence is demonstrated by the ability to recognize stress at an early stage and consciously control one's emotions. In this section, participants learn specific techniques for regulating their emotions. These techniques help them to remain calm and focused in stressful moments and to face the challenges of everyday working life more calmly.

  1. Empathy and social support in the team

Stress management often works better when team members support and respond to each other. In this phase of the workshop, the topic of empathy in the team is addressed. Using targeted methods, participants learn to put themselves in the shoes of others and react empathetically to stressful situations in the team. Practical exercises are used to practise how mutual support can be encouraged within the team in order to create a strong, resilient team culture.

  1. Collective stress management through team dynamics

In a central part of the workshop, participants reflect on team dynamics and their influence on team resilience. Through an exercise on team dynamics, they recognize how behavioral and communication patterns influence stress management. Together, the team develops strategies to minimize stress-promoting dynamics and strengthen resilience-promoting behaviours. This phase offers the team the opportunity to develop clearer procedures for dealing with stress.

Why team resilience is crucial

Teams that strengthen their resilience not only benefit from better stress management, but also from improved collaboration and increased productivity. Emotional intelligence is a key to success: teams that are more aware of and manage their emotions work together more efficiently and harmoniously. The action plan that the team develops as part of the workshop ensures that the strategies learned are firmly anchored in everyday working life.

Implementation

Working methods in the team resilience workshop

Insightful

I give the team an introduction to the concept of emotional intelligence so that they have a clear orientation for the course of the workshop. I deliberately keep the theoretical input short and concise, as the focus is on joint reflection and exchange.

Process-oriented

The team shapes the exchange of content, while I accompany the process. My role is to create a supportive framework in which the team can develop its own ideas for coping with stress. I help to focus on the key issues and maintain an overview so that the team can come up with workable solutions together.

Close to everyday life

We deal with the real challenges and dynamics that arise in the team and in the organization. The measures we develop together are practice-oriented and can be implemented immediately in day-to-day work, so that changes become directly noticeable and effective.
